2. Email Marketing sending emails to secondary email address

Issue

It is a very common issue, that when a user sends the emails to a list of contacts. The emails are sent to the secondary email address of the contact instead of the primary one.

Reason

The Email Marketing extension only sends the email to the email address which is listed first in the email address sequence

Usually , the primary email address is listed before the other email addresses of the record. That is why emails are sent to the primary email address. But, sometimes the secondary email address is moved up in the email address sequence. Hence causing the discrepancy

Solution

This issue can be solved by moving the primary email address up in the sequence using the module layout and fields. Make sure to move up email address in sequence that you want to use for the email marketing
